AET has spent more than 20 years helping organisations solve on of the most common problems in modern workplaces: speech that travels further than it should.

Our work combines acoustic design, UK-manufactured equipment, careful installation and practical commissioning. Every project is shaped around the building, the people using it and the level of privacy, focus on comfort the space needs to support. 

We work across open-plan offices, meeting rooms, healthcare environments, legal workplaces, financial services, education spaces and public-sector buildings, with project ranging from small targeted systems to large multi-floor rollouts.

Privacy, focus and comfort

The problem is not noise. It is intelligible speech.

In many workplaces, the biggest acoustic issue is not loudness alone. It is the clarity of conversations that were never meant for everyone in the room.

When speech remains intelligible across an office, it becomes distracting, tiring and difficult to ignore. In meeting rooms, consulting spaces and private offices, the same problem can create confidentiality risks. 

Sound masking works by raising the background soundfloor in a controlled, unobtrusive way. Conversations can still happen naturally, but they become harder to understand at distance, helping the workplace feel calmer and more private without making it artificially silent.
