The acoustic challenge

Chevron needed to reduce speech transfer across open-plan office areas, where phone conversations and travelling voices were affecting the working environment.

The project began with one floor before expanding across further areas over the following years.

Speakers were installed in the ceiling void, firing towards the soffit to create an indirect masking field.

The system was broken into adjustable zones to manage masking across different open-plan areas.
