The project began with one floor before expanding across further areas over the following years. 01 ### Phased rollout AET began with 36 speakers on one floor before supporting expansion across multiple floors. 02 ### Ceiling void installation Speakers were installed in the ceiling void, firing towards the soffit to create an indirect masking field. 03 ### Open-plan zoning The system was broken into adjustable zones to manage masking across different open-plan areas. 04 ### Follow-up support AET provided post-installation checks, layout-change adjustments and annual maintenance visits. Outcome ### A scalable system for a changing workplace The installation helped Chevron manage sound transfer across open-plan areas and gave the workplace a system that could expand as requirements changed. #### Reduced sound travel Open-plan masking helped reduce the impact of voices carrying across the floorplate. #### Phased growth The system expanded from a single floor to multiple floors over time. #### UK-manufactured equipment AET-designed speakers were held in stock, with Compact control equipment available for the project. #### Long-term support AET continued to support the system through checks, adjustments and maintenance. > Chevron’s installation grew from an initial floor into a wider multi-floor sound masking system, giving the workplace a practical route to improving open-plan acoustic comfort.
